Overview
The Sr. Solutions Engineer is a member of the Warehouse Solutions team. The primary role of this position is to analyze customer's inventory and shipment data, design logistics and supply-chain solutions for new and existing customers, produce costing models and layouts, and present the solution to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data in RFP based proposals for new and existing customers
    Design processes, model labor hours, plan staffing and shift requirements
  • Analyze and model storage methodology of inventory, calculate space requirements
  • Engineer storage and material handling equipment
  • Investigate the use of automation, calculate ROI
  • Build cost models and generate pricing sheets
  • Present solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Document technical solutions used to design the process and assist in writing business proposals, data-visualization charts, etc.
  • Assist in the development and achievement of strategic business process KPI’s and metrics
  • Lead or participate in cross functional teams to develop and maintain efficiencies utilizing Kaizen events and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Maintain a positive relationship with both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data-analysis or process-engineering type fields
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Quantitative data analysis (MS Excel based)
  • Critical thinking: Analyze data to reach a design goal
  • Divergent thinking: generate solution design ideas by exploring many possible options
  • Presentation skills: ability to inform and persuade complex results to non-engineering teams
  • Skilled in personal organization and task management to meet tight deadlines
  • Work within a cross-functional team (engineering, operations, IT, Sales)
  • Must be able to use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products (Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred familiarity with MS Access, VBA (MS Excel macros), time measurement techniques (MOST, MTM, MODAPTS, etc.)
  • Ability to travel: 5% to 15%
