DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding.

Deutsche Bank's Gravity program aims to transform the digital experience for 5 million customers by migrating our German retail customers for our 2 brands: Deutsche Bank and Norisbank from a legacy on-premises IT infrastructure to a cutting-edge, GCP Online Banking platform. With a succesfull migration in our pocket of our PostBank customers, Gravity migration is a top priority for the bank, reflecting its utmost importance to our business strategy and customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a leader across the teams in charge of delivering the Migration for Gravity
  • Design technical solutions for the migration of data from legacy systems into cloud (GCP) in collaboration with our network of Distinguished engineers and architects
  • Define, maintain and evolve the emerging architecture enabling the Gravity Data migration
  • Responsible for the Migration Inventory artefact and a gatekeeper for any updates in the document
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and delivery managers to ensure effective execution of the migration plan  
  • Responsible to keep all stakeholders aligned to the migration and report any deviation in the execution
  • Responsible for the success of the migration events
  • Contribute to functional specifications for our Reconciliation and Migration engine as needed

Skills:

  • Cloud / GCP certification preferred
  • SQL / Oracle Database
  • Good understanding of data infrastructure
  • Able to design microservices based solutions and strategies and to ensure adoption within the overall program
  • Able to design database extraction solutions and data reconciliation solutions
  • Has relevant experience with core banking systems, preferably has been involved in data migration projects, has experience with SQL databases and GCP / Cloud platforms
  • Has a very client-oriented approach, seeks to understand how the results of their work will be used by the final client of the bank
  • Very mature and seasoned leader, able to adapt to different cultures and teams
  • Computer science background and relevant experience as software architect, preferably also as delivery manager for large IT initiatives
