About the role
As a Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting injured workers on their journey back to work. Your focus will be on delivering person-centered case management while ensuring that compensation entitlements are handled appropriately. Strong communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders are essential for achieving sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Assessment: Evaluate and determine liability for various claims, ensuring thorough analysis and adherence to guidelines.
Claims Review Preparation: Prepare for and participate in claims reviews, showcasing your strategic approach and effective results in managing cases.
Return to Work Support: Facilitate the return-to-work process for injured workers, employing person-centered strategies to address chronic health issues and promote well-being.
Compensation Management: Ensure timely and appropriate compensation entitlements are disbursed, maintaining compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assessing claims and determining liability.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience in case management, particularly with a focus on person-centered approaches.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring quality outcomes.
- Experience as a Case Manager with the VIC Workers Compensation Scheme, ideally in Return to Work or Long Term Case Management
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Decision making, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work with different IT applications.
