Context:
Due to the highly decentralized and complex organization and structure with several Legal Entities, Business Lines with multiple Sub-Therapies operating within different business and fragmented IT Environment, VitalAire Germany needs to enhance its Controlling processes and reporting capabilities by:
- Fully mastering Cost Structure of each business activity (i)
- Improving data collection (ii)
- Define clear principles & guidelines for allocation of costs (iii)
- Driving automatisation and digitalisation (iv)
Objectives:
The objective of the project is to implement a robust, consistent & accurate Business Performance Model to better (i) monitor profitability per activity (ii) measure and monitor progress of performance KPIs and profitability levers (iii) control costs variations and trends. This initiative will be embedded within a local platform and leverage on existing core solutions & models.
As Business Controller, the VIE will be responsible for the definition, animation, coordination and achievement of the main deliverables of the project:
- Identify business analytical needs (Financial Dimensions)
- Review & simplify the current cost structure
- Build the functional specifications (primary & secondary costs mapping; business flows; allocation indirect costs) based on existing Controlling Core Model.
- Provide Key Financials per Activities
- Reports readily available for the management through appropriate tools (such as Power BI)

The Operations Control Team has 5 employees from different nationalities, expertise and professional background.The common spoken languages within the team are English and German.
With a hierarchical dependency from the CFO, the Operations Control Team interacts with stakeholders from the Business (Management, Marketing, Sales, Operations) and the Corporate Functions Departments (such as Finance, HR, Procurement…)
