About the Role
As the Senior HR Business Partner to our Philippine Design and Marketing Specialty, you’ll build a true partnership with the group and specialty leads driving strategy, direction, coaching and leadership development aligned to Canva’s company goals and priorities.
You’ll be a champion of Canva’s values, working closely with the leadership team and their leads to provide hands-on strategic input and advice on key priorities such as team effectiveness, growth and impact, leadership development, talent management, organisation design, workforce planning and cultivating culture.
You’ll thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment, and be passionate about supporting teams to scale effectively. You’ll be an experienced HR enabler who thinks strategically, but is also prepared to roll up your sleeves and get things done. What you’ll do

- Partnering closely with PH Design and Marketing leads to develop and execute strategic People initiatives.
- Positioning yourself as a strategic member of your client group leadership teams and a trusted advisor to their leads; guiding and coaching leaders on the full gamut of People challenges and opportunities.
- Developing a deep understanding of the business opportunities and challenges we’re working to solve for and delivering tailored people strategies and solutions.
- Providing thought leadership and coaching Leads through rapid organisational change and growth.
- Partnering with HR COEs to deliver cyclical HR programs, such as talent, performance, growth, development, compensation and lead strategic HR initiatives and projects with global impact.
- Collaborating with the broader People Partnering and People team to drive operational excellence.
You’re probably a match if you
- Have extensive experience as a strategic HR Business Partner in fast-paced, hypergrowth tech companies, ideally within large global companies.
- Thrive on both developing high-level strategies and rolling up your sleeves to implement them.
- Posses a strategic mindset (beyond just the here and now) with the ability to synthesise a lot of information to come up with solutions with tangible impact.
- Bring valuable experience in coaching and nurturing leadership teams amidst rapid organizational evolution and expansion.
- Display innate coaching abilities, underscored by high emotional resilience and empathy, enabling adept navigation of complex situations.
- Exhibit incredible organisation skills, demonstrate high degree of judgement and ability to juggle a diverse range of priorities.
- Are skilled at collaborating and influencing a wide range of partners, including senior leaders, team leads & coaches, as well as other HR teams.
- Showcase comprehensive knowledge of HR programs, encompassing performance management, leadership development, organizational design, talent management, and employee relations.
- Excel in change management, driving forward strategic initiatives with finesse and agility.
