We are currently hiring an Associate Statistical Programmer to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your experience and convert data from specifications and statements of problems to SAS code. You will be able to consult with supervisor, systems analysts, other programmers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, and interfaces with other systems.

Responsibilities:
- Write SAS programs based on specifications or consultations with supervisor, other programmers, and end users.
- Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs.
- Revise program for corrections, enhancements, or system environment changes.
- Coordinate with other programmers about program revisions.
- Modify and maintain SAS programs written by others.
- Document changes to programs and note specific changes within programs per programming best practices Produce datasets and displays utilizing SAS code that is easily understood and modified by others where possible.
- Program data checks to support data cleaning.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in computer science, statistics, or related field along with 3 months to 1 year of professional experience programming in the SAS language is desired (internships included!); experience programming in the pharmaceutical/biostatistical arena is preferred but not required.
- Strong SAS/Base knowledge with an emphasis on data step programming along with strong data analysis skills are required. Comfortable at understanding and modifying pre-existing SAS code, as well as writing SAS code from specs.
- Ability to work with minimal oversight as well as to work as a member of a project team.
- Strong Communicator: Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills to help showcase the successes of your work and Rho’s.

As required by pay transparency laws in some states, Rho provides the range of starting compensation (annual salary or hourly rate) it reasonably expects to pay for a given role. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to role responsibilities and location as well as candidate skill set and level of experience. The range of starting pay for this role is $55,000 to $75,000 per year.
