This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States.
As Senior Data Engineer on the Product Engineering team at Fullstory, you will be a primary co-creator with our customers: working with their data engineers and analysts to understand how Fullstory’s data product will drive maximum value for their businesses. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager for the Data Ecosystem team, you’ll be working with other product engineers and product managers to convert customer needs into features within the Fullstory platform.
In a typical day, you might:
Work directly with customers to shape requirements for Fullstory’s data warehouse and BI tool integrations.
Review or author engineering design docs outlining new features in the Fullstory data product.
Research data warehouse and BI tool capabilities for potential Fullstory data integrations.
Work with product managers to roadmap new data product features or enhancements.
Design queries for customer audiences to support specific analytical use-cases like conversion rate optimization, customer retention, cart abandonment, and A/B test performance.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
5+ years working with cloud-based OLAP platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Databricks in a data engineering and analyst capacity.
Deep understanding of data transformation, modeling, and schema evolution concepts.
Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience writing Python scripts to perform analysis in the warehouse.
Experience with data transformation and query organization tools like dbt.
Experience with data visualization products like Looker and Tableau.

You’re a go-to advisor for both internal and external engineering teams on Fullstory’s Data Direct feature.
You influence our product roadmap with your insights into the ways Fullstory can improve the ergonomics of our data product.
The impact you will have in 12 Months:
Your co-creation efforts result in new features that have moved the needle for Fullstory data product usage and adoption.
