The role
As a Facilities Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide facilities operational support to the Babcock vehicle engineering site.
Day-to-day, you’ll work as part of the maintenance department and participate in the delivery of a wide range of activities within their remit.
- Maintain housekeeping standards
- Clean workshops and maintain tools and equipment
- Facilities tasks to include – visual inspections of fire extinguishers and fire alarm testing
- Complete minor faults using tools such as a screwdriver and drill
- Grounds maintenance activity
This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.
This role is full time, hours per week and is based on site at Walsall.
Essential experience of the Facilities Assistant:
- Ability to use drill and screwdriver handtools tools
- Previous experience as an industrial cleaner or facilities assistant would be advantageous
Qualifications for the Facilities Assistant:
