Job description

Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead the Sharing team. Collaboration is Figma’s bread and butter, and all collaboration begins with sharing. As Figma’s multi-product suite and our customer base evolve, we need to keep sharing simple while evolving the underlying permissions model to scale to new requirements. In this role, you’ll help evolve this building block of collaboration to support our users and all the products and experiences we want to bring to them.

The Sharing team is part of the Monetization pillar at Figma. Our mission is to help teams, big and small, create and collaborate effectively. As a PM, you’ll work closely with cross-functional partners and our customers to develop and execute a vision and roadmap. You will be responsible for ensuring that Figma’s sharing and permissions user experiences meet the needs of our full range of customers as well as the other Figma product teams who need to extend these platforms’ capabilities. You will also have a chance to be part of a fast-growing company that is hungry for innovation and an incredibly talented PM team to learn from and partner with!

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:
  • Become a subject matter expert for sharing and permissions at Figma, collaborating closely with other EPD teams at Figma
  • Design and build core collaborative user experiences
  • Develop and execute a vision and roadmap that scales as the Figma suite grows
  • Partner with our diverse set of customers to understand the range of product requirements we need to meet
  • Work closely with designers and engineers to define feature functionality and execute against the roadmap
  • Driving planning and prioritization, defining and tracking key metrics, collaborating on marketing, messaging, positioning, and go-to-market plans
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Previous experience leading collaboration, sharing, and permissions projects
  • A deep user empathy and the ability to build relationships with key customers
  • Experience working on both technical and user-facing features
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
  • Experience working on very similar products to Figma
  • Have a background in design, engineering, or both!
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
