Job description

What we’re working on at Slang

Slang started at MIT as a research project on using AI and NLP to make learning a new language as efficient as possible. Our technology powers a highly adaptive e-learning platform that offers an unprecedented variety of specialized English courses and proficiency tests for career development in over one hundred fields like Sales, Finance, Logistics, Medicine, and Law. With just a small team, we’ve already created the largest professional English offering in the world.

What this role is about

In this role you will be involved in different projects regarding Product, helping Slang develop strategically. You will be able to problem-solve and independently come up with solutions for support requests and respond to messages coming from clients from different countries. You will also participate in developing and evolving a support system that identifies the most common issues, making it easy to see and understand what types of problems are the most common and identify the best way to prevent them.  

We’re seeking a curious and problem-solving minded person that will help our users and internal collaborators with technical support

Education, knowledge, and skills required
  • High school degree
  • high-intermediate English level: B2 level or higher.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Spanish
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
  • Excellent discipline and focus, especially in autonomous environments. We’re a small team, and we’re moving quickly!
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel.

  • Provide technical support to users through emails and chats
  • Receive, check, and report bugs and technical issues reported by collaborators or users
  • Anticipate user requirements, identify potential issues, and work with other teams to resolve them
