Johnson and Johnson is recruiting for a Principal AI/ML Engineer in Sao Jose Dos Campos or São Paulo, Brazil. This position may require up to 5% travel (domestic and international).

We are embarking on a major strategic transformation of our Cybersecurity Data Science and Analytics practice. This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of our J&J Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization which will work at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, and Data Science.

The Principal AI/ML engineer will be focused on the engineering and development of Algorithms and AI products for a variety of Cybersecurity use cases including Threat Detection and Monitoring, Automated Incident Response, Cyber Risk Insights, and Vulnerability Remediation Processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to frame and understand their AI use cases & value propositions.
  • Develop and engineer scalable and automated AI products for a variety of Cybersecurity use cases.
  • Identify, design, implement and support sophisticated AI engineering processes for greater scalability, optimizing delivery, and automating manual processes.
  • Document dataflows, architecture design, code and logic
  • Develop CI/CD Infrastructure to bring AI algorithms from sandbox to DEV to PROD environments.
  • Identify data and AI governance needs, overseeing the design of AI modelling and handling procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
  • Deliver quality work and outstanding customer service in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting to meet company needs.
  • Responsible for key vendor & customer relationships across the platforms and services. Set up and supervise clear product SLA, measurable performance, product health monitoring and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Azure or AWS Data Science and AI Engineering technology stack (Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, SageMaker, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Deep Learning AMIs)
  • Deep understanding of machine learning models, neural networks, and other AI methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python and PySpark with at least 5 years of working experience
  • Experience with data analysis, data processing, and using tools like SQL, Hadoop, or Spark.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies including agile practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with data analysis, data processing, and using tools like SQL, Hadoop, or Spark.
  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of managing AI/ML projects including problem definition, solution formulation, model building, operationalizing, and delivering measurable impact.
  • Knowledge of IT technical infrastructures (Network, IAM, Endpoints, …).
  • Strong GIT / Code version controlling experience, and knowledge of the overall related tools, commands, workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address sophisticated technical challenges.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, in fast-paced environment and prioritize in parallel while managing expectations.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest AI research and trends.
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation, an eye for business value, and a bias for action.

Preferred

  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms including Microsoft Sentinel
  • Experience working with Security Technology solutions including EDR, NDR, MDR, or XDR
  • Experience with developing data models for Cybersecurity threat and risk detection and monitoring.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
