The Role
We have a great new opportunity for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Director of Speciality Brands & Marketing to join our fast-growing Speciality Brands department, and be the company’s functional expert for Market Access and Sales & Marketing of the Accord Speciality Brand Portfolio.
In this role, you’ll bring your wealth of knowledge in multiple therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Rheumatology, Dermatology and Gastroenterology, to lead a high performing Speciality Brand Sales and Marketing Team. With responsibility for the Spec Brands portfolio, you will coordinate all existing resources and efforts across the company, to ensure timely market access, successful launch, and successful sales and marketing of the speciality brand portfolio. You’ll also work closely with, and support the medical team to define the MSL requirements from both central and local resources.
With a strong understanding of Market Access, and a wide experience in New Chemical Entity launches, you’ll develop clear and compelling value propositions for the portfolio, and formulate market entry strategies with key milestones and KPIs, and provide end-to-end strategic support throughout the launch, from planning to execution and on to the monitoring stages.
The Person
- Expertise in leading brand development activities, market research and product launch strategies for Speciality brand, including employing digital marketing strategies.
- Experience with optimising CRM software, data analytic tools, and digital marketing platforms, to measure and improve sales force effectiveness
- Strong leadership and management experience in a high profile, senior sales / product management role, able to motivate teams remotely, manage change and make effective decisions.
- Successful track record in achieving strategic healthcare market access of NCE and Biosimilar medicines
- Significant experience in the Irish pharmaceutical sector, ideally within speciality brands (or equivalent) and with a familiarity across a range of treatment areas (e.g. Oncology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology) – experience of Biosimilars would also beneficial.
- Significant experience optimising cross functional resources; medical science liaison; sales force effectiveness; market access. Excellent commercial and financial acumen, able to initiate, sustain and complete profitable growth plans, manage budgets and translate numbers into astute business cases.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the gravitas to influence and maintain relationships at all levels and build effective internal and external networks with key stakeholders and influencers (e.g. KOLs, CCGs, Hospital sector).
