This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
Contract: Independent Contractor
Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm Eastern with an hour unpaid break

Job Summary

Serve Freight is seeking a highly skilled Project and Heavy Haul Manager to oversee complex and oversized trucking projects across the U.S. This role requires expertise in heavy haul logistics, including experience with load planning, permitting, and route optimization. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills and the ability to work closely with clients and carriers to ensure safe, on-time deliveries of large, heavy loads.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage all aspects of heavy haul trucking projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
Work with clients to define project requirements and ensure all logistics align with regulations and safety standards.
Obtain permits and ensure all load requirements (e.g., size, weight) comply with state and federal laws.
Collaborate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and safe transport of heavy loads.
Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide regular updates to clients.
Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends and regulations impacting heavy haul transport.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
Must have at least 2 years of experience in heavy-haul, project logistics, or over-dimensional cargo transport.
Proven experience in load planning, permitting, and route optimization.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects.
