Remote Service Engineer

Your role:

• Owns the operational responsibility of deploying Unix based applications.             

• Responsible for troubleshooting and providing support to field deployment teams.

• Deliver on S.L.A. to both internal and external customers.

• Expertise in scripting for component/ module/ sub-system

• Must have good analytical and debugging skills.

• Handles team deliverables and making sure deliverables are delivered on time with high-quality

• Manages technical communication with customers and stakeholders

• Responsible for providing metrics-based Operations updates to the management

•  Work with the Development team pro-actively in identifying improvement areas and prioritization of bug fixes

You're the right fit if:

• Strong system engineering & administration experience on UNIX or LINUX platform is a must.

• Strong Expertise with Shell scripting.

• Expertise with SSH, SSH tunneling and networking on UNIX based platform.

• Preferable Experience in infrastructure & application monitoring tools such as Nagios & Shinken

• Working knowledge of Ansible is key.

• Exposure in working with SCM tools like Jenkins and GIT / SVN

• Knowledge of Python would be an added advantage.

•  Flexible to work stretch hours, take customer calls and meetings during IST Evening Hours

• Ability to work without close supervision and with proactive, goal-oriented attitude

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
