Job description

At Squarespace, our platform empowers millions of people — from individuals and local artists to entrepreneurs shaping the world's most iconic businesses — to share their stories and create an impactful, design-forward, and easy-to-manage online presence. Our tools help millions grow their brands, connect with their audiences, and bring their passions to life.

We're looking for a strategic Product Marketing Manager to drive the growth of Squarespace Commerce, one of our most important product offerings. You'll shape how we position, launch, and scale new commerce features that fuel success for businesses of all sizes. You'll own the voice of the product, creating messaging that resonates with our target audiences and increases adoption. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure our new features are understood, valued, and used to their full potential.

For over two decades Squarespace has helped define the progression of web design, making it accessible to anyone with an idea or passion. We're seeking a Product Marketing Manager with a genuine passion for design and a commitment to helping our customers succeed. You will be based in our New York City headquarters and report directly into the Group Product Marketing Manager of Squarespace Products.

You'll Get To…
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new Commerce features. You'll define audience personas, create compelling messaging, and lead integrated launch campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to distill technical details into clear, impactful stories that highlight the value for our customers, turning complex features into engaging narratives.
  • Lead GTM efforts across several channels, including website updates, blog posts, social media, email marketing, and press releases. You'll track the success of these campaigns and optimize for maximum impact.
  • Develop and implement customer education initiatives that drive awareness, adoption, and long-term usage of new features, helping customers unlock their potential through Squarespace Commerce.
  • Partner with Market Research and Customer Insights teams to conduct market and competitive analysis that informs product development and marketing strategies, helping Squarespace stay ahead of trends and gain a competitive edge.
  • Work with internationally-focused teams to ensure product updates resonate with audiences around the world, adapting strategies for a globally diverse user base.
Who We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, within the tech or e-commerce space, with experience of successful product launches and marketing programs.
  • Ability to work across teams, including Product, Marketing, and Creative, with an ability to manage cross-functional campaigns.
  • Experience with digital marketing channels, including content marketing, social media, email marketing, and paid advertising.
  • Ability to track and interpret marketing data.
  • Passion for Squarespace's mission, and a desire to empower creators and entrepreneurs to build their online presence.
  • Experience working with website builders or content management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with e-commerce tools that demonstrate an understanding of the needs and challenges of online businesses.
  • Experience in creating product documentation and collateral.
  • Passion for design and user experience.
Benefits & Perks
  • A choice between medical plans with an option for 100% covered premiums
  • Fertility and adoption benefits
  • Access to supplemental insurance plans for additional coverage
  • Headspace mindfulness app subscription
  • Global Employee Assistance Program (available January 2025)
  • Retirement benefits with employer match
  • Flexible paid time off
  • 20 weeks for parental leave and up to 12 weeks to care for an ill family member
  • Pretax commuter benefit
  • Education reimbursement
  • Employee donation match to community organizations
  • 6 Global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Dog-friendly workplace
  • Free lunch and snacks
  • Private rooftop
Cash Compensation Range: $105,500 - $165,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
