Job description

Are you a recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a passion for project management? As a part of Kounsel's software team, you will take part in every step of Kounsel’s software development lifecycle. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Software Project Manager to join our dynamic team.

This entry-level role is ideal for who are passionate about project management and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist in planning, executing, and finalizing software projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and develop essential project management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to understand their needs, document requirements, and translate them into actionable project plans.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze business processes, workflows, and data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including task assignments, timelines, and milestones.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and aligned with project goals.

  • Monitoring: Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, report on progress, and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and risk logs.

  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and management.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting quality standards.

  • Learning and Development: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance project management skills.

  • Servant Leadership: Acting as a servant leader to the Scrum teams, facilitating self-organizing and self-managing teams.



Requirements

Requirements

  • Recently completed a degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello).

  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Demonstrated global mindset, with the ability to think across disciplines, industries, cultures, and scenarios.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, quantitative, and project management skills with the ability to develop and understand strategy.

General Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree within the last two years.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (Please upload ALL transcripts as part of the application process).

  • 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills in English.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, while also contributing to a team environment.

  • Must have the equipment and environment to work remotely (laptop/computer, reliable internet connection, quiet, conducive space).
