Position Summary
The Clinical Programs Director oversees and manages specific projects as identified for the nufactor division, including but not limited to regulatory compliance, accreditation programs, performance improvement, policy and procedure development and maintenance. Works under minimal direction. Collaborates effectively with other members of the nufactor division, Marketing team, Legal, and Information Systems.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Responsible for direct support of clinical and operational projects for the nufactor division across multiple sites and branch locations.
- Examples: Assists in clinical review of incoming referrals, develops clinical programs around new product offerings, assists with the appeals process.
- Ongoing execution of initiatives will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams focused on improving processes and systems to realize operational efficiencies.
- Examples: Coordinates efforts on accreditation activities to include all departments. Coordinates policy development, maintenance and annual review with pertinent staff.
- Ongoing direct involvement and maintenance of the division’s performance improvement program.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical programs.
- Operates office equipment: computer, scanner, printer, copier, fax, 10 Key, calculator, and phone.
- Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.

Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmcy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an approved program by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
Required Knowledge:
- Continuous Quality Improvement or related experience is desired.
- Strong PC, oral and written communication and presentation skills are required.
- Sophisticated organizational communication and the ability to navigate a complex and matrix organization are required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence, oversee, and motivate cross-functional teams in a complex corporate environment.
- Business acumen, including strong financial skills and the ability to understand the bottom-line impact of a project.
- Familiarity with home infusion and specialty pharmacy.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Joint Commission and URAC requirements and standards.
Required Experience:
- At least five (5) years of relevant specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience with a demonstrated leadership or similar responsibilities.
Preferred Experience:
- At least seven (7) years of relevant specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role.
Required Skills:
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have a detail orientation and the proven ability to prioritize work.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team.
- Sound decision-making abilities.
Professional Certification:
- Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the state which the pharmacy is located.
- Full, current, and unrestricted NABP based license to reciprocate to all states that are required for patient care and strategic business needs as directed by management.
- California Only - a non NABP based California license that was issued prior to January 1, 2004, may be considered.
- Certification as an Immune Globulin Certified Pharmacist (IgCP) must be obtained within 2 years of employment and must meet ongoing requirements to maintain certification.
- Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) preferred, but not required.
Physical requirements
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. Must have the ability to lift and maneuver items of at least 20 lbs. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working condition include normal office setting.

Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions.
