We are seeking a highly motivated Band 5/6 Locum MSK Physiotherapist to join a dynamic team in Newham, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a new patient caseload in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy, providing both assessment and treatment in a clinic-based environment. This role offers a full-time position for an initial period of 4-5 months, with the potential to contribute to improving patient outcomes in the MSK service.
Responsibilities:
As a Band 5/6 MSK Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for managing a new patient caseload in MSK physiotherapy, providing assessments, treatment plans, and interventions for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Your duties will include delivering physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation for patients with musculoskeletal injuries or chronic conditions. You will also provide education to patients regarding injury prevention and self-management techniques. The role will primarily be clinic-based at 29 E15 4LY, with the potential for some satellite clinic work at Canning Town. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be expected to manage your caseload independently while adhering to department guidelines and ensuring high standards of care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Previous experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy is essential
- Experience in managing a new patient caseload in an outpatient physiotherapy setting
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills in MSK physiotherapy
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS check required
