Job description

WellSky is seeking a Clinical Consultant II to join our Blood and Biotherapies team. As a Clinical Consultant, you will act as the clinical expert to ensure project success, satisfaction of contractual obligations and transition of clients into a post-implementation client experience program during the professional services engagement. As a Clinical Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between clinical workflows and software functionality, leveraging technology to enhance clinical care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and drive innovation in healthcare settings.

A day in the life!

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with project managers, project teams, and client personnel to complete implementation tasks through the lifecycle of the project
  • Analyze existing clinical workflows to identify the current state of the client's operation. Gather data, document processes, and collaborate with team members to gain insights into workflow challenges
  • Engage with providers to review requests and offer recommendations based on proficient knowledge of clinical workflows that will ultimately enhance patient care, treatment plans, and health outcomes
  • Provide hands-on training to designated client members, guiding them through the software's functionalities and features to ensure proficiency in utilization
  • Using foundational industry compliance knowledge, follow established practices and guidelines, to ensure the implementation of clinical solutions abides by regulations and standards.
  • With support of management, offer consultation that requires review of a variety of factors for software configurations, understand software functionalities, troubleshoot technical issues
  • Maintain compliance with WellSky HIPAA Privacy and Security Practices and all required regulatory processes

Do you have what it takes?

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Clinical credentials for care setting; MLS, CLS CT, SBB, etc.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience in a blood bank, blood center, or clinical lab environment
  • Transferring knowledge in workplace or classroom or instructional settings
  • Confidence in delivery of training, leading of project meetings, and following up on all known tasks and issues
  • Able to travel up to 75%

Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 to 2 yrs experience using clinical software and working on a core team implementing software
