Responsibilities / Position overview:

We are seeking a life sciences professional with a strong clinical or scientific background to join our Market Access team as Scientific Associate. In this role, the Scientific Associate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, appropriateness, and strategic alignment of all clinical evidence and scientific data included in client materials and internal training presentations. As the Scientific Associate, you will also provide education and training internally to strengthen account team’s clinical understanding of their respective brands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop understanding and expertise regarding the disease state and associated
  • treatments of an assigned account and awareness of key publications that can be used to support key unbranded and branded claims
  • Create outlines for new projects based on client objectives that are supported by peer- reviewed literature
  • Review all clinical and health economic content of projects for a given account to ensure data is represented accurately, presented efficiently, and is supported by the most valid evidence possible from high-quality peer-reviewed literature
  • Provide direction and support to copywriters and editors regarding the development and implementation of all pieces containing clinical or HEOR content for the account
  • Supports internal team through education on scientific concepts related to the disease state, product, and competitors
  • Performs literature reviews to identify high quality evidence and publications for all client materials
  • Supports the company with research and education for new business initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in medical or life sciences field advanced (MD, PhD, or PharmD)
  • Advertising or communications agency experience preferred
  • Managed markets experience a plus but not required
  • Excellent research skills: demonstrated understanding of clinical and observational study designs and identification of high-quality, valid evidence and primary references
  • Meticulous diligence and a highly conscientious work style
  • Professional demeanor and ability to function as a core member of a larger collaborative team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with Excel and/or Tableau a plus
