Job Description:
NetImpact Strategies has an opportunity for a Database Architect/Manager of Database Administration to join our talented Professional Services team. In this role you will serve as the senior technical authority in designing and operating database infrastructure hosting a portfolio of nearly 500 databases, supporting a collection of over 125 business applications. You will lead an effort to migrate the data portfolio to AWS in an IaaS model, and then work with development teams and DBAs to decouple the portfolio and mature into AWS PaaS offerings. You will also be responsible for managing a team of Database Administrators, working with a variety of database technologies, with an emphasis on Microsoft SQL technologies. The primary objective of this role is to lead the transformation of a legacy, monolithic database operation into a contemporary, automated operation, maturing both the technology and the technologists supporting it.
