Title: Lead Software Engineer, AI
Location: Remote or Hybrid in New York, Atlanta or Chicago

As a Lead AI Engineer at Recruitics, you’ll spearhead our AI initiatives, transforming recruitment marketing through cutting-edge machine learning and automation. You’ll leverage advanced AI models, predictive analytics, and data-driven insights to optimize our bidding algorithms, build intelligent automation systems, and lead the development of scalable AI solutions that power Recruitics’ recruitment marketing platform. This role offers the opportunity to innovate, lead a team of skilled engineers, and directly impact our clients’ success by building the future of recruitment technology.

Key Responsibilities 

Individual Contributor Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop and deploy AI and machine learning models to enhance our programmatic advertising logic.
  • Model out our job index and build pipelines for re-training. 
  • Optimize bidding algorithms and ad performance through predictive modeling and deep learning.
  • Lead the design and development of automation systems that increase operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Build, train, and evaluate large language models (LLMs) and machine learning models tailored for our ad tech platform.
  • Collaborate closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to identify and develop AI-driven opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior AI engineers, fostering innovation and growth.
  • Define AI strategies, milestones, and project goals, ensuring alignment with Recruitics' mission and stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain the scalability, reliability, and performance of AI solutions, setting high standards within the team.
Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in AI and machine learning, with 2-4 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying AI solutions in production environments.

Technical Skills: Proficient with:

  • Python and AI/ML frameworks (such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or TensorFlow).
  • Advanced machine learning and deep learning architectures, with strong skills in LLM development and fine-tuning.
  • Cloud platforms, specifically AWS, for AI model deployment and infrastructure.
  • Data engineering and integration, with an emphasis on high-volume data processing and performance optimization.

Technical Skills: Some experience with:

  • SQL and data warehousing solutions, particularly Redshift.
  • Visualization and analytics tools like Looker.
  • Data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and other automation frameworks.

People Skills:

  • Visionary, proactive, and self-starting with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions and align stakeholders on AI initiatives.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a focus on mentorship and cross-departmental collaboration.
Nice to Have  
  • Industry Experience: Recruitment marketing, ad tech, or HR tech.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with optimization algorithms, data visualization best practices, and other AI frameworks.
  • Additional Education/Certification: Advanced certifications in machine learning, deep learning, or data engineering.
  • Portfolio or Code Repository: Portfolio of previous AI projects or a GitHub repository showcasing recent work.

Compensation:
  • Base salary range depending on experience and location: $210,000 to $250,000
  • Eligible for annual bonus based on performance.
