Sr Software Engineer

What's the role?:

n this role as a Sr. Software Engineer, you will ensure that a system, product, or software meets the specified requirements and performs its intended functions, while minimizing defects, bugs, and other issues that can affect its performance, reliability, and safety. In addition to validation and verification, you will focus on testing, which involves executing test cases and measuring the results to ensure that the system or product is functioning correctly. You should have knowledge of HD & Unimap E2E product. Furthermore, you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI jobs and pipelines using industry-standard tools like Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the software development lifecycle and ensure efficient code deployment processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on CI best practices and methodologies.
• Develop, debug, and optimize Java and Scala codebases to enhance product functionality and performance.
• Utilize expertise in database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to design scalable and efficient data storage solutions.
• Manage version control systems (VCS) including Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket to facilitate collaborative development workflows.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of Big Data solutions and AWS cloud services.
• Actively engage in continuous learning and exploration of new frameworks, tools, and technologies to improve team productivity and product innovation.
• Implement new attributes for supporting the assessing/comparing differences in data sources.
• Improve the internal comparison tools by enriching map quality and decreasing potential customer issues.
• Aggregate the geodata from different sources.
• Perform geometric comparisons with detailed reporting on validation results.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering roles, with a focus on CI/CD, Java, and Scala development, within map domain (preferred).
• Proven expertise in setting up and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab Pipelines, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Scala, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Extensive experience working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies and cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• A passion for learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
