We support the development, qualification, validation, and large-scale sample testing of assays that supported the FDA filing of almost 350 new molecular entities, including blockbuster vaccines and biologics, anti-viral drugs, immunotherapy, gene, and cell therapy products.

We are looking for a key contributor with a strong track record of supporting Life Sciences companies, providing customized Phase I through III services globally, and offering expertise across multiple therapeutic areas.

 IQVIA Laboratories discovery-focused labs deliver expertise to expedite the path from discovery to IND. Our labs bring expertise in protein production, antibody discovery, and immunogenicity to help you select the most promising candidates and reduce risk as you move toward IND-enabling studies.

 
Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual annual sales target based on selling to Pharma clients across the offering suite.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all IQVIA Laboratories solutions and services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities.
  • Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities within specified potential new and/or existing Customers/Accounts.
  • Establish and execute a comprehensive sales plan for each target account.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within Account and develop deep knowledge of the customer organization.
  • Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities.
  • Aggressively pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards.
  • Continuously monitor status of leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained.
  • Work with operations and functional managers to identify sales team and prepares and leads the sales presentation. Educate team participants in customer culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale.
  • Coordinate with contracts and proposals to develop proposal.
  • Handle follow-up related to the sale and drive completion of contractual documents.
  • Utilize CRM to establish reports and dashboards to analyze business development and sales activities and track progress.
  • Maintain high visibility within customer organization.
  • Communicate all account activity to Senior Sales Leader and/or appropriate individuals through the CRM system.


 

Requirements
 

  • 10 years of related experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a BD in a CRO environment, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Understanding of the clinical process (PH I – IV)
  • Knowledge across Immunology / Vaccines space / Molecular Biology would be an advantage. 
  • Central lab experience would be an advantage.
