JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC - Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary

An Infrastructure Specialist at Argano plays a critical role in managing and maintaining the JDE E1 infrastructure for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of various infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and storage systems, as well as expertise in optimizing their performance, scalability, and security. They work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure the clients’ infrastructure aligns with their technology goals and business objectives. The focus is on resolving intermediate infrastructure issues and may include work on mid-size projects. Collaboration with other team members is paramount to ensure the stability and reliability of the clients’ technology infrastructure.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) CNC infrastructure specialist provides technical insight and guidance, and assists with the team responsible for the maintenance, support, performance, and process improvement of multiple clients’ JDE E1 software implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects to design and plan infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's needs.
  • Serve as CNC Lead to coordinate troubleshooting and problem solving across functional and technical teams.
  • Clearly explain JDE E1 CNC concepts and ideas to a non-technical audience
  • Create and improve upon Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Research and document root cause analysis (RCA) and suggest preventative actions for system failures.
  • Installation, configuration, and deployment of JDE E1 Tools and middleware
  • Server and client package build and deployments.
  • Apply and manage necessary patches and upgrades (ESUs, ASUs, Updates)
  • Perform JDE E1 Tools Release upgrades.
  • Understanding of JDE E1 Tasks/Role/Role Relationship Security
  • Performance monitoring and tuning of JDE E1 foundation and database.
  • Perform environment refreshes.
  • Object Management Workbench (OMW) configuration, maintenance, and promotions
  • Setup and monitor scheduled jobs.
  • Monitor JDE E1 and JAS logs.
  • Work with project implementation team and client IT resources on issue resolutions
  • Assess and recommend infrastructure upgrades or changes to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Design and implement intermediate infrastructure solutions, including cloud services, virtualization, and data centers.
  • Lead mid-size infrastructure projects and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Resolve escalated infrastructure issues and incidents.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and make recommendations for infrastructure improvements
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server systems, storage devices, and networking equipment.
  • Implement and maintain virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities within the infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect infrastructure assets from cybersecurity threats.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Assess current and future capacity needs and make recommendations for scaling infrastructure as required.
  • Configure and manage network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

Experience

  • Expert-level skill and knowledge in JDE E1 CNC Administration and tools
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in DB2/400, Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Demonstrate OS/400, Linux/Unix, and/or Windows Server administration skills
  • Have experience with medium to large implementations (over 200 users)
  • Excellent organizational skills capable of prioritizing across multiple tasks and executing efficiently.
  • Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with WebLogic Application Server and/or WebSphere Application Server
