Graphic Designer - Assistant Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer with a foundational knowledge of video editing to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the creation of visual content for digital, print, and social media platforms, helping to bring our brands message to life through engaging designs and video content. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to create graphics and video content for social media, digital ads, print materials, and website content.
• Support the creation of layouts, typography, visual elements, and short video clips for various projects, ensuring all materials align with brand guidelines.
• Assist in developing visual content for promotional materials, presentations, and campaigns, including static and motion-based visuals.
• Edit and retouch images, adjust colours, enhance video clips, and add transitions and effects to meet project requirements.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to enhance both design and video content quality.
• Work with feedback from senior designers and stakeholders to refine and improve designs and video edits.
• Stay updated with design and video editing trends, tools, and software to ensure contemporary and innovative work.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and basic knowledge of video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong sense of layout, colour theory, and typography.
• Basic understanding of design principles for digital and print media, as well as video storytelling techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Portfolio showcasing design and basic video editing skills (required).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with animation software (e.g., After Effects) for creating motion graphics.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
• Previous internship or experience in a similar role is beneficial.
