Summary of Position:
The IT Business Analyst position was created to increase the overall level of technology support for our client services and administration teams. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Key Responsibilities and Attributes:
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Experience with web application usage and testing.
- Excel and Power Apps experience and understanding of use cases preferred.
- Contribute to an agile project development team to help understand and document business and client requirements, estimate work, develop new solutions, and enhance existing applications.
- Spot areas for improvement to enhance pep software product's efficiency.
- Review business requirements, design, write, and execute test cases and scenarios working alongside the pep project managers for the client and pep client teams.
- Gain understanding of operating environment, business processes and application functionality.
- Isolate, replicate, and analyze issues in existing web applications.
- Work closely with the pep administrative and client service teams to identify solves for areas in the business that technology impacts.
- Work closely with the development and IT technical team to report defects and verify solutions are implemented successfully.
- Timely analysis and triage of incidents/problems are required and resourcefulness in finding ad-hoc solutions/workarounds.
- Strong communication skills with ability to voice concerns and provide recommendations.
- Research new technologies for software testing and security scanning to meet business objectives including but not limited to cloud deployment, software-as-a-service, etc.
- Other duties assigned as needed.

- Preferred, but not required: Bachelor’s in Technology a 2.8+ GPA from four-year college or university; or Minimum 18 months of applicable business experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals as well as operate internal, online systems
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to be client facing
- Ability to mentor, grow and work harmoniously as part of a larger team
- Ability to do intermediate-level math (calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages)
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to problem solve
- Effectively utilizes staff including delegating as appropriate
- Ability to manage healthy business processes
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel. Typing skills should be a minimum of 55 wpm
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
