Remote friendly with travel expected, preferably located an easy travel distance to hub cities (LA, DC, NYC, Philadelphia)

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and highly creative Brand Director to lead consumer experience ideation, design, and execution across our Flag Football portfolio. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the Flag Football brand strategy, creating and executing marketing campaigns, developing engaging content, and distributing it across key channels. The role will also extend to tackle football events and programming, as well as early-stage brand development for Lacrosse and Soccer programming.

This position requires a marketing and brand professional with 8-10 years of highly relevant experience and a proven ability to thrive in ideation, creative strategy, and bringing concepts to life. This role collaborates across Unrivaled Sports’ marketing and leadership teams, leveraging insights from pro and college athletes, coaches, and both professional and grassroots leagues to elevate the brand experience in youth football. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consumer Experience Design: Ideate, design, and execute world-class consumer experiences as part of tournaments, camps, events, and community activations for Sandlot Flag, focusing on creating meaningful engagement and "wow" moments for athletes and families.
  • Football Brand Strategy: Lead brand positioning, messaging, and identity efforts to ensure alignment with Unrivaled Sports’ mission and values.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies, including content creation, media planning, and distribution, to grow brand awareness and deepen community connection.
  • Emerging Sports Initiatives: Provide strategic and creative input into the development of marketing campaigns and consumer experiences for new Lacrosse and Soccer programs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders: 
    1. Partner with GM Canton and President Flag Tournament Operations to align marketing initiatives with operational goals.
    2. Work closely with the Unrivaled Flag Football Leadership Team and broader Unrivaled Sports Marketing team to ensure cross-functional alignment.
    3. Engage with pro and college athletes, coaches, and team administrators to amplify brand reach and relevance.
    4. Build relationships with professional and grassroots leagues to expand Sandlot Flag’s influence in the flag football community.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct competitive and audience research to understand trends, insights, and opportunities that can inform brand strategies and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, including: 
    1. Marketing and event roles with leading active lifestyle brands.
    2. Agency roles specializing in creative activations and brand experiences.
    3. Event production experience focused on consumer delight, rather than logistics or operations.
  • Creative Mindset: A natural creative who thrives in ideation and has a strong ability to bring ideas to life through execution.
  • Event Activation Expertise: A track record of successfully creating and delivering memorable brand activations at large-scale consumer events.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Exceptional ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships, and influence key stakeholders across diverse teams.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt messaging to a variety of audiences.
