The HRBP will be an internal consultant and business partner for their client group. The role is responsible for collaborating and responding proactively to the unique needs that business function requires. Providing proactive consultation in all areas of workforce planning, including talent management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and restructuring, as well as employee engagement and People Manager/Leadership development. Additionally, this includes identifying and resolving critical issues for the client groups and the proactive implementation of best practices that promote and develop a highly positive and engaged workforce.
What you will do:Partnering with aligned HRBPs: provide functional and local HR support; project manage and execute talent practices and other key initiatives, including advising clients, creating client Partnering with managers and leaders to identify, establish, and execute HR strategies and initiatives; establish trusted relationships with employees and managers.Providing employee relations support including policy implementation, interpretation and enforcement; conduct employee investigations and partner with Employee Relations where needed; guide leaders through performance management processes; swiftly resolve disputes and find solutions to problems. Supporting business goals, strengthen organizational effectiveness, impact performance, retention, employee engagement, and promote the development of employees and managers. Provide analytics and data insights into their client groups’ most pressing needs.Partnering with HR Centers of Excellence to create an environment that optimizes the critical people resources and matches them to the needs of the business. Actively engaging with all levels of employees to create and sustain a solid relationship network, maintain a reliable pulse on organization dynamics and behaviors that affect employee engagement and business goals.Proactively recommending actions to management where concerns may arise, or patterns of employee issues could emerge.Leading change within the business; design processes and approaches which prepare employees for ongoing change and transformation.What you will bring to Coupa: 5 to 8 years of total HR business partner experienceUnderstanding of, and experience with, core aspects of Human Resource Management (staffing; employee relations; labor relations; performance management; leadership development; training)Previous talent management and succession planning experience preferredProven ability to influence decision making; courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professional and poiseMust possess consultative style and approach with proven ability to develop credible relationshipsComfortable working in ambiguous business situations; highly adaptable to a fluid and ever-changing work environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skillsAbility to analyze data and gather insightsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsExercise a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy in interactions with all levels of the organizationStrong experience and demonstrated skills in handling a variety of employee relations mattersExcellent follow-through skills and the ability to anticipate and address business needs proactivelyPossess a strong work ethic; self-motivated with a desire to take initiative and look for ways to improve processes and create efficiencies; have a strong sense of urgencyExcellent time management and organizational skills in managing through multiple priorities with overlapping tasks across multiple businessesTeam-oriented attitude balanced with the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionMaintains strict confidentiality and adheres to a high standard of professional conductStrong knowledge in employment laws; multi-jurisdiction experience preferred
