We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect Team to exceed our customers' expectations.  The successful candidate will split their time between managing and mentoring team members and working directly with our utility customers to implement cutting-edge enterprise applications.

As Solution Architect Team Lead, you will be crucial in working with clients, managing people and contributing to best practice. In this role your time will be split between working as a Solution Architect, completing people management activities and working with the other Team Leads to help define implementation best practices.  

People Management:
  • Define goals and objectives for direct reports that align with the overall strategic direction provided by the Implementation Manager
  • Perform regular 1:1 meetings with staff to monitor performance and goals
  • Provide timely feedback to team members and management on staff performance
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress on Goals and Objectives and discuss challenges and strategies for improvement
  • Enforce quality control processes and perform regular audits to ensure following best practices and quality of work
  • Work with the implementation manager and other team leads to develop, update, and maintain documentation on best practices
  • Ensure people are delivering as required to meet utilization targets; Work with Project Managers, Service Delivery Management to ensure resources and tasks are assigned to the appropriate resources to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Implementation:
  • Conduct and supervise Discovery (Analysis) sessions
  • Oversee and approve the Discovery Report
  • Conduct and document Business Process reviews
  • Review and provide feedback on all Business Process Design documents
  • Lead and document Integration Design sessions
  • Create and maintain process flows
  • Create and maintain best practices documents for system configuration and testing
  • Provide input on training and testing materials
  • Oversee and assist with system configuration
  • Responsible for the overall quality of the implementation, completing regular audits and quality checks, and ensuring best practices are followed
  • Conduct Data Mapping exercises
  • Work with SpryPoint Clients to match best practices with future state business requirements

  • Documentation:
  • Support the creation and maintenance of best practices documents for system configuration, testing, and overall system design
  • Create reports for Business Process Reviews
  • Document Integration and Enhancement Design requests
  • Provide input on training and testing materials
  • Assist in the creation of customer-specific training documents
  • Document issues encountered during the testing and acceptance phases 
  • Maintain project-related documentation including issues logs, configuration guides and test cases

  • Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience implementing enterprise utility software, specifically with utility Customer
  • Information Systems (CIS).Experience with Mobile Field and Workforce Management (MFM & MWM), Work Order & Asset Management (WAMS) and Customer Engagement Portal experience is an asset
  • Experience analyzing large data sets is an asset
  • Ability to map processes and have worked in a large process mapping project
  • Proven ability to create clear, complete documentation
  • Strong understanding of relational databases & SQL in particular
  • Experience working with Reporting & Business Intelligence Platforms
  • Interest in expanding knowledge and applying knowledge to solve industry problems

  • Comprehensive understanding of implementation methodologies of complex software implementations
  • Understanding of organizational change management and the challenges associated with enterprise-level software implementations
  • Deep understanding of utility industries - electric, water, wastewater, gas, telecommunications, sanitation, and others
