Junior Accountant

A manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Junior Accountant. In this seat, you will be reporting to the Accounting Manager and assist with general ledger maintenance as well as year-end close. The ideal candidate has 2-3+ years of accounting experience, has handled GL maintenance, and has relevant industry experience (technology/manufacturing).

Responsibilities

• Assist with general ledger reconciliation and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  
• Support the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  
• Utilize accounting software to manage financial data and streamline processes.
  
• Collaborate with senior accountants to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
  
• Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.
  
• Maintain accurate records of wills, trusts, and estate law transactions as needed.
  
• Contribute to the development of financial strategies by providing insights from financial analysis.
  
• Engage in double entry bookkeeping to maintain precise financial records.
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.
  
• Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation processes.
  
• Familiarity with private equity accounting practices is a plus.
  
• Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements is advantageous.
  
• Excellent written communication skills for effective financial report writing.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  
• Understanding of corporate accounting principles is essential.
