A DAY IN THE LIFE

Our PSM Professional position is a partially remote position where you can work from your home office up to 50% of the time. The remaining 50% of time will be supporting our customers at their facilities which can be located anywhere in the USA.

As a key member of the Process Safety Team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Providing scribe services for Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) activities.
  • Reviewing client P&IDs and previous PHAs to understand the methodology used to do the reviews.
  • Advancing your PHA skills to eventually serve as a PHA Leader.
  • Understanding the importance of, and the implementation aspects of each of the OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) elements and their requirements.
  • Helping our clients to build and enhance their PSM programs for effective compliance to the PSM requirements.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • BSME or BSChE from an accredited university.
  • Extensive experience leading PHAs, especially for petroleum refining processing units.
  • Experience leading a Process Safety Management team for a facility or company.
  • A good understanding of Process Safety Management and its importance to personal safety.
  • A good understanding of EPA’s Risk Management Program requirements.
  • Ability to function as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Ability to mentor / train others.
  • Experience: 5-10 years industry experience.
