Coordinator, Development Operations
Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the continent’s leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation, seeks a Coordinator to support the Manager of Development Operations with Major Sponsor and Prospect acknowledgement letters and processing, as well as document filing.
Responsibilities:
- Process memorial/tribute gifts.
- Set-up memorial/tribute accounts.
- Prepare acknowledgement letters for memorial/tribute giving.
- Prepare gift and acknowledgement documents for filing.
- Lead document filing activities and organization of physical filing space.
- Handle all data requests and serve as Development Operations point of contact for two regions of our Great Lakes/Atlantic Region field team.
- Provide personalized customer service to donors and volunteers.
- Assist with department mailings, provide back-up coverage for other support staff and assist with other appropriate duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education: Three years administrative/clerical experience with demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively relate to donors, volunteers, colleagues and senior administrators.
Communication Skills: Exceptional telephone and customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Technological Proficiency: Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, technological tools available to DU, including membership databases (Blackbaud CRM) preferred. Microsoft Windows computer environment and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) proficiency required.
Interpersonal Skills: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Commitment to the mission and goals of Ducks Unlimited.
Reporting and Location: This position reports to the Manager of Development Operations and works from the national headquarters in Memphis, TN.
