Zurich North America is hiring a Crop Regional Sales Manager to join our Crop team! We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, or North Dakota.
As a Crop Regional Sales Manager you will lead and execute regional sales strategy, delivering successful regional sales campaigns and launches. You will be managing Regional Business Development Leaders and Field Service Representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals, and regional sales results.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Implements the on-boarding process for new Business Development Leaders by supporting organization sales training efforts, introducing the organization playbook, and transferring knowledge regarding the organization, its sales strategy, existing sales tools, insurance products, and business processes.
- Supports the development, evaluation, and execution of Business Development Leader Regional sales plans and business plans with each distributor, providing assistance as needed.
- Ensures execution of the distributor business plan and making updates or corrections to those plans as the situation requires.
- Makes regular ride along visits with each Business Development Leader to discuss/critique pre-call planning and observe the Business Development Leader's distributor calls.
- Participates in distributor calls as needed to assist the Business Development Leader in building stronger relationships or securing submissions.
- Provides feedback and coaching to the Business Development Leaders on how to improve the productivity and success of distributor visits.
- Works with each assigned Business Development Leader on their development plans and regularly monitors progress against those plans.
- Monitors critical metrics and goals for each assigned Business Development Leader (including distributor visits, market basket mix, account retention, new accounts). Work with the Business Development Leader as needed, to develop remediation plans for bringing results into alignment with goals.
- Evaluates and coaches assigned Business Development Leaders on their skills working with internal stakeholders (Sales Specialists, Underwriters, etc.) and the Distributor Sales Teams. Observes interaction of Distributor Sales Teams and provides consultation/ feedback to the collective group.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Sales area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Sales area OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Sales area AND
- Management experience

- Ability to plan and execute effective sales strategies
- Excellent communication skills
- Insurance industry experience
