Purpose Of Job
The purpose of the Business Analyst - Appraisal Management role is to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical solutions within the appraisal management industry. This role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting user stories, and ensuring that project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and quality standards. By acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, the Business Analyst facilitates effective communication, prioritizes tasks, and monitors the Return on Investment (ROI) of implemented features. This role is essential for driving process improvements, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring that the company's projects align with overall business goals and deliver tangible benefits to clients.
Responsibilities
Essential Tasks:
- Collaborative Leadership: Partner with the Program Manager in the Engineering group to open tasks, set expectations, and prioritize work efficiently.
- Requirements Gathering: Engage with multiple product groups across the organization to gather requirements and document user stories using tools such as Jira.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Track project deliverables post-completion to ensure they meet the original requirements and quality standards.
- ROI Monitoring: Monitor stakeholder Return on Investment (ROI) to ensure that the anticipated benefits of new features are achieved.
- Reporting: Provide regular reporting on the accuracy of ROI projections and the overall success of implemented features.
- Effective Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and alignment of objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the organization.
Required Qualifications

- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and departments.
- Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Appraisal management industry knowledge and experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
- Agile Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with tools such as Jira for task management.
- Data Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- System Knowledge: Experience with order management systems such as Appraisal Scope and Acuity.
