The Instructional Designer position involves the design and development of new e-learning and instructor-led courses as well as the update and enhancement of our extensive library of existing courses. This position plans the look and feel of new courses, writes and edits course content, edits photos and develops graphics.

What You Will Do

  • Create instructionally sound training materials for internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with SMEs to develop course content
  • Follow quality processes to ensure exceptional quality of all deliverables
  • Write scripts for video and audio content
  • Perform QA on pending e-learning and ILT courses to ensure they are ready for deployment
  • Analyze, update, and re?ne existing online content
  • Keep current on industry trends related to instructional design and development
  • Review and take appropriate action in regard to course feedback and evaluations
  • Assist with the integration of third-party content into NEOGOV technologies
  • Develop and maintain new hire training, as well as ongoing training for internal sta?
  • Develop instructor manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools
  • Manage online learning communities

What You Have

  • B.A or B.S Degree or related experience
  • 2-5 years of experience as an Instructional Designer
  • Experience working with mid to large sized companies
  • Experience in designing and developing courses and curriculum
  • Developing online learning materials
  • Designing learning activities, assignments, and assessments
  • Knowledge of instructional theory and assessments
  • Experience working with a Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Expert in developing training content using training industry best practices
  • Expert in developing training content using industry known software including but not limited to Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia
  • Basic HTML programming knowledge
