Join our dedicated team at Compass Health Network as a Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN in Jefferson County, where your contributions will be vital in delivering exceptional healthcare services. In response to the pressing needs of our communities, we are offering a \(3000 sign-on bonus for Medical Assistants and an additional \)3000 for Nurses, as we strive to maintain our commitment to quality and compassionate care.

Job Overview

In this role, you will be an essential member of our integrated care team, responsible for fostering effective, professional relationships with patients and collaborating with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. You will uphold clinic guidelines, maintain patient confidentiality, and assist healthcare practitioners in delivering outstanding health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring patients into the office and conduct intake assessments, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and medical histories.
  • Present important End of Visit materials to patients, such as lab results, referrals, and educational resources.
  • Execute lab testing as requested by clinicians, which may include immunizations, venipunctures, and assisting with exams.
  • Review and respond to patient-related messages in collaboration with clinicians.
  • Support assigned clinicians with patient cases, lab results, and medication refills.
  • Maintain Vaccines for Children (VFC) log sheets as directed.
  • Administer injections per provider orders and meet patients in a face-to-face capacity during appointments.
  • Prepare and present pertinent patient information during team huddles.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of medical office protocols, terminology, and equipment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred; we are willing to train new graduate Medical Assistants.
  • For Nurse LPN applicants, a Practical Nursing certificate is required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or LPN/GPN must be obtained, with the MO NCLEX exam to be passed within 90 days of graduation.
  • CPR certification is required or must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
