Job Overview

Join the esteemed Compass Health Nursing team as an Outpatient Nurse, where your skills and care will directly impact the communities we serve. This full-time position involves a commitment of 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday during daytime hours across our Columbia locations, including Berrywood, Woodrail, and Worley. Our organization is dedicated to delivering compassionate care and providing quality service to all clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate operations within the medication clinic.
  • Engage in cross-training to assist in various clinics and regions as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Review and educate clients on medication forms and refill needs.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for medication clinics and psychiatric consultations within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Administer intramuscular (IM) medications and ensure accurate logs for all medications dispensed.
  • Assist in processing prior authorizations and maintaining an up-to-date injection list.
  • Conduct vital sign assessments and coordinate pre-diabetes screenings when necessary.
  • Uphold the highest standards of service excellence while participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Licensure as a GPN, LPN, GN, or RN with the expectation to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
