Engagement Details
Our client is a global technology consultancy focused on designing and implementing secure, observable cloud architectures embracing an Everything as Code (EAC) approach, so their clients can focus on their business goals. They can provide strategy, design, implementation, and follow-the-sun support. They also create custom software products when there are missing links in current solutions.
Their areas of expertise are data-intensive cloud applications supported by RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, CI/CD using DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines, total observability from client to application in the cloud, and hybrid architectures.

Location
- Location: Reston, VA. This is a US-Remote job, but US-local candidates are preferable.
Arrangement
- Length: 2+ years, long term.
- C2C preferred but open to W2 full-time with benefits for the right candidate.

Required Qualifications
- Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
- 7+ years of full-time hands-on Software Development experience.
- 7+ years of full-time hands-on Java Backend development experience.
- 3+ years of full-time hands-on AWS experience.
- Java 8+ features, Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda).
- Experience with caching technologies (e.g., Memcached, Redis).
- Knowledge of queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Nice to haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
