As a Project Manager - Training Development on the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program, you will be part of a project manager team to support the management effort for this historic multibillion-dollar CAE project.  Sounds like something you are up for? The role we are offering you:                                                  

As part of their duties, the Project Manager will be assigned to projects under the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program in the Defense and Security sector. Located in Montreal, the PM will develop project management plans for high complexity projects with significant financial and technological implications. The incumbent will also recommend improvement initiatives and participate in their implementation and provide daily leadership to team members.

  • Collaborate with an integrated management team made of many project managers aiming the same objective of successfully delivering the FAcT program.
  • Responsible for the training development deliverables (ex: Training Needs Analysis, Training Plans and Courseware).
  • Validate or monitor aspects of the project related to research and development to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Solve problems to ensure execution until proof of concept and integration into a client project.
  • Take charge of all aspects of the entrusted project: schedule, costs, income, risk, scope, customer relations, contract.
  • Report regularly to internal management on progress, issues and workarounds.
  • Manage all the resources (matrix) targeted by the project, including partners, subcontractors, etc.
     

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Engineering or education degree with a minimum of eight (5) years of high technology project management experience or related field.
  • Recognized leadership.
  • Focus on results.
  • Recognized for taking initiatives to secure the success of the project.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Motivated by innovations, keeps abreast of the latest technological developments.
  • Great agility to adapt to complex situations, frequent changes and numerous clients, both internal and external, while remaining focused on the objectives of its projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at the same time.
  • Program management skills, ability to track schedule, costs, scope and risk management skills.
  • PMP certification, or obtained within six months of hiring
  • Sense of customer service; ability to understand client needs as well as internal and external interests.
  • General knowledge of the Canadian Defence and Security sector, flight training operations, aeronautical domain and flight simulators, an asset.
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis (25%).
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
  • Be able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance & Controlled Good Clearance.
  • Eligible to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit.
