Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting Information Technology staff in the installation, maintenance, implementation, and continuous usage of development tools, frameworks, and platforms. Provides and promotes a technical environment which will maximize the productivity of IT personnel while minimizing cost and organizational impact.
Job Duties:
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements new system software products, product updates, and new releases.
- Maintains an inventory of products, current release level, and all updates or local modifications.
- Informs appropriate personnel of new features, limitations, and considerations produced by upgrades or new products.
- Assists in diagnosing system problems, and effecting recovery and restart.
- Provides documentation on general system operating procedures.
- Provides education and counsel to users and IT personnel on the use and understanding of systems software.
- Serves as a liaison to vendor software support personnel as needed by IT personnel.
- Determines, implements, and facilitates programs and procedures to analyze resource utilization and support planning activities.
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and policies to work as intended
- Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Provide Level 2 technical support
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Improve automation and increase systems' self-healing capability
- Collect operating metrics and report performance to stakeholders
- Measure and optimize system performance
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Required Skills:
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Proficient with CI/CD Concepts and Tools
- Working knowledge of Powershell Scripting
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Working knowledge of Web Application Servers
- Problem-solving attitude
- Experience with Azure DevOps platform a plus
- Performance and Load Testing as well as Site Reliability Engineering
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
Experience:
