The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

The Program Director, Performance Evolution will be a part of the People, Purpose & Brand (PP&B) Talent Pipeline organization, a team that partners with business and function leaders to define skill needs for today and tomorrow and co-create offerings in service of selecting and developing our talent and evolving our diverse, global workforce to grow and contribute to our shared purpose and enterprise goals. 



You will be responsible for driving equity and accuracy in performance practices to enable high-performing people and teams.  As a part of the Performance & Growth team, you will also provide global thought leadership which may include partnering, guiding and directing other talent professionals who design and implement solutions that can be scaled across the enterprise. 



Responsibilities:

  • Embed high performing, equitable and inclusive practices in our annual performance processes in collaboration with peers across Talent and PP&B.
  • Connect performance experience to business strategy, industry trends, and user and stakeholder requirements to continually advance performance across the enterprise. 
  • Establish and monitor benchmarks for successful outcomes and create a quarterly report showing impact, insights, and recommended actions.  
  • Oversee governance for stakeholders on performance experience key success metrics, roadmap for enhancements, and identify any needs for redesign/step evolution.   
  • Partner with adjacent teams across PP&B, Technology and the business to drive the continuous evolution of performance processes. 
  • Up- and reskill peers and partners on the performance processes intent, approach, and outcomes.

  • Trusted Partner: Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior and executive levels, with a proven ability to manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to influence positive outcomes as normally acquired through previous leadership experience. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to connect performance practices to business strategy, industry trends, and user and stakeholder requirements to continually advance performance across the enterprise. 
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret global leadership development trends, internal talent data, and employee sentiment for continuous improvement and innovation in performance practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide strategies, especially related to performance management or employee experience
  • Adept at problem solving and critical thinking, project management, top-down, executive-level communication, teamwork, partnership, and collaboration, change agility (adapting to changing priorities, drive and resilience) and ownership of the work and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Data analysis, strong knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and their application in the performance practices.
