  • This position will have in-office requirements depending on location**

Helping to support the Finance organization, specifically Billing and Payments, with their compliance needs. Combines comprehensive technical expertise and analytic ability with strong interpersonal skills to lead highly visible cross-functional projects and perform research and analysis with significant organizational impact. Drives improvements and recognizes emerging trends that will impact operations. Communicates effectively to a variety of audiences including higher levels of the organization to ensure alignment with project goals and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, become embedded into USRM Financial Operations team as a business partner and trusted advisor, partnering on key strategic priorities to ensure initiatives include controls to appropriately mitigate compliance and operational risk
  • Ensure close partnership with Fraud Hub and other compliance teams (i.e. Product, Claims and Service, Distribution and Marketing)
  • Drive and manage highly visible, complex projects; lead meetings and make presentations to large audiences and senior leaders
  • Lead compliance research and partner closely with Legal and GC&E to fully comprehend all regulatory impacts to drive and influence informed decision making in Billing and Payments
  • Perform internal compliance audits and risk assessments; identify and assess risks and issues, quantifying and communicating the impact to senior leaders
  • Lead/influence control implementations/enhancements
  • Assist director or lead projects and continuous improvement activities to leverage technology and other resources to achieve greater efficiency and improved results in the Billing and Payments controls environment and compliance program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree in a quantitative subject (example: Mathematics, Finance, Economics) or Legal/Political Science/Insurance and experience with quantitative analysis preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years related work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and concepts required.
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills.
  • Effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and lead others during projects is a must.
