Middle Test Automation Engineer (Python)

Our client is a US-based global company that works on security services, blocking advanced attacks including malware, botnets, and phishing threats. We aim to improve the current firewall system with the client by making it more secure and less costly to maintain.

The plan is to reduce the amount of resources the firewall uses, and make it cheaper, but still just as effective. This will require a lot of work from engineers, who will figure out what can be simplified or removed without compromising the firewall’s performance.

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced Test Automation Engineer with at least 3 years of expertise in Python
• Strong in Linux systems and proficient with the Linux command line
• Skilled in various testing frameworks, including PyTest and PyATS
• Knowledgeable in networking concepts such as IP, DNS, MAC, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP, SSH, Telnet, TFTP, and SYSLOG
• Understanding the network security concepts and secure network design and deployments
• Aware of security products and technologies, including Firewalls, NAT, IPS, VPN, Routers, and Switches
• Familiar with automation and traffic generator tools like Wireshark
• Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking colleagues
• Proficient in QA methodologies, processes, test design techniques, and test plans (would be a plus)
• Knowledgeable about performance testing and stress testing (optional)

• Create test plans for the new security platform from scratch and automate test cases
• Perform debugging and troubleshoot network and OS issues
• Execute test cases to ensure the efficiency of the product
