Job description

Secoda makes the experience of exploring and using data as intuitive, fast, and useful as using Google Search. When hiring, we prioritize candidates who are ambitious, self-starters, and great teammates. We have a deep sense of ownership, and believe every employee should have an impact on Secoda and its mission.

Secoda is looking to build our Product function and hire our first Product Manager. Reporting directly to our Co-Founder and CTO, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing data-driven products that meet and exceed customer needs. Your role will involve understanding user challenges and working closely with our engineering teams. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on Secoda’s product offerings and overall business strategy.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation through development, launch, and post-launch optimizations.

  • Work closely with our founders to develop and refine the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization.

  • Facilitate communication with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales, customer success, and marketing.

  • Organize product feedback, bugs, and ideas into a product backlog.

  • Analyze product data to understand customer needs and inform product decisions.

  • Engage our sales and customer teams to understand acquisition, adaption, and retention and help develop solutions to improve these areas.

Who you are:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in product management, or related roles, in a technology-driven environment

  • Execution-oriented: You’re highly organized; you’re comfortable managing many work streams; you know how to make the right trade-offs; you help teams ship on time.

  • Technical background that enables you to convey product requirements to engineers and relay complicated details to non-technical colleagues and customers.

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working in ambiguity. Able to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution

  • Ability to balance urgent short term requests with important long term business opportunities and growth levers.

  • Proven track record of shipping product experiences that drive key business metrics.

  • A curiosity for the data and AI spaces that enable you to go deep into the technical subject matter in order to better understand our customers and their challenges

  • Experience building products still early in their lifecycle; enthusiasm for the zero-to-one phase.

  • Own It: We take pride in our work and strive for excellence. We take accountability, pay attention to details. We don't wait for problems to arise; we proactively identify and address potential issues.

If your experience aligns with this role you're looking for an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage startup, then we want to hear from you!

We are happy to provide reasonable accommodations to candidates in need of individualized support during the hiring process.
