Responsible for the overall operations and administration for the nursing and clinical areas in the Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) according to the NJ State Department of Health and Senior Services, TJC and the NJ Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities:

1.Oversees operations for nursing and clinical areas in the LTACH. Delegates responsibilities to assistant directors of nursing, administrative coordinators and nurse managers to assure positive patient outcomes and patient satisfaction. Takes administrative calls.

2. Responsible for the overall administration of the Nursing Department finances, facilities, operation and human resources. 

3. Accountable for the planning, administration, and coordination of services and processes so as to ensure safe, quality, and competent provision of patient care services, consistent with the policies of the hospital in a cost-effective and customer-service approach.

4. Demonstrates leadership and guidance to all nursing managers/clinical staff /respiratory, to promote and monitor quality indicators, organizational/departmental goals, priorities, and clinical outcomes. a. Develops goals and objectives in collaboration with the nurse managers and provides periodic status reports.

5. Promotes the Transformational Leadership style across the organization. 

6. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Graduate of accredited nursing program.

2. Six+ years experience in supervisory and administrative capacity

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1.Masters degree in Nursing preferred

2.Experience in a long term care setting

 

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
