Job description

Description:

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced NDT Level II Inspectors for projects located in the Newport News, VA area. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $46/hour based on experience plus $120/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job-site. Job Scope:

Conduct NDT Level II PT, MT, & VT, RT or UT inspections per industry standards
Perform inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of materials and structures
Interpret and evaluate test results
Prepare inspection reports and documentation
Collaborate with team members to ensure quality assurance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

Experience in Liquid Penetrant/Magnetic Particle/Visual Testing (PT, MT, & VT), Radiographic Testing (RT), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Minimum of 4 years of documented continuous experience performing inspections in PT, MT, and VT OR RT and UT methods within the past 9 months
Current certification as Level II in PT, MT, VT or UT and RT methods per ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2001 Edition or later
Successful completion of written general theory and procedure-specific examinations
Proven ability to operate NDT equipment, record results, and analyze information
Valid vision acuity exam results using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year
Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry
