The Background

Oracle’s Fusion Applications group is designing and building the next-gen deployment platform for its suite of software products. We focus on transforming how Software Developers and DevOps engineers build cloud applications for enterprise customers.

Our team is fully remote. We currently have members spread across the US, India and Europe. We practice scrum and leverage Slack and Zoom heavily for day-to-day communication.

The Role

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will act as a tech lead for a team and its services across the fields of cloud infrastructure and applied ML (LLM/RAG). You will be responsible for providing technical leadership across all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to coding, testing, CI/CD, and operational support. We own our own applications from top to bottom, we deploy and operate them, and we see them being used every day by our customers. The ideal candidate will have a experience as a tech lead and building multi-tenant, highly available distributed services and in the fields of infrastructure and applied ML.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent related field experience
  • Have experience acting as a tech lead and designing/building cloud services.
  • Expert knowledge of any of the following: Java, Golang, or similar programming language. Experience or interest in Functional Programming is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience with Kubernetes operators is a strong plus.
  • Expertise with Terraform and Helm on one or more of Oracle OCI, Google GCP, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Experience using LLM Application Frameworks such as LangChain

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 - $223,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
