The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a National Development Lead, Socials. This position can be remote within the United States. 

 

The National Development Lead, Socials will be a leader in national strategy and execution for our Heart of CITY/Heart Ball and Go Red For Women campaigns and have responsibility for the adoption, growth and success of these revenue streams.  This role will report to the National Executive Lead, Heart Ball and will have three main areas of focus:

  • Lead the implementation of our national Socials’ campaign strategies, through campaign management and oversight, consultation and strategy refinement
  • Field Marketing and Training for socials staff
  • Strategic coaching and consultation to staff in key markets/events

This role will work closely with the national field campaign team, regional and market leaders, and directors in the field ensuring the campaigns strategically grow revenue through visionary goal setting, disciplined business planning, and elevated volunteer engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure consistent execution of best practice strategies through consultation to reduce variance of performance across markets and regions, with a focus on year-round campaign efforts.
  • Work directly with region consultants and a portfolio of events/markets to provide direct consultation and training including “in the field” training to model effective meetings.
  • Provide excellent campaign analysis that uses lead indicators and data to drive performance.
  • Serve as the lead for socials training including national training bootcamps and bi-weekly huddles.
  • Collaborate with national team to define, create and execute any national external events that train, convene, promote or celebrate the socials campaigns.
  • Help update and refresh campaign tools and materials including case studies, business plan documents, guides and materials 
  • Monitor and analyze external and internal trends and data in collaboration with the Center for Development Operations to develop benchmarks, standard methodologies, priorities and focus areas.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 9 years’ experience in a similar role or in a role leading a multi-million-dollar campaign with year-over-year growth
  • 5 years of experience coaching and influencing internal leadership and staff to achieve goals and meet organizational objectives
  • Proven record of success in corporate and individual giving
  • 5 years of experience working with and leading volunteers
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Skilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end product
  • Skilled in campaign oversight and reporting
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50%
Compensation & Benefits:

Expected pay range will be $130,000 to $140,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.

The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.
