Technical Lead AWS Data Engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Roles And Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, direction, peer review and accountability on the product (key responsibility)
- Provides technical direction, guides the team on key technical aspects and responsible for product tech delivery
- Lead Design, Build, Test and Deployment of components
- Design and implement scalable enterprise level apps and data marts/stores ensuring high data availability
- Where applicable in collaboration with Solution Architects, Data Architects and Lead Developers (Data Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, Technical Test Lead)
- Understand requirements / use case to outline technical scope and lead delivery of technical solution
- Develop MVP User Stories (Re-usable components/ API’s / Mock stubs etc.)
- Support backlog creation, prioritization, and Story mapping
- Support in technical design and solutioning
- Ability to utilize DevOps CI/CD pipeline, create/configure build and deploy jobs
- Experience working in XP and pair programming model and understands and performs TDD
- Responsible for assigned task delivery and quality and knowledge transfer through daily pairing with team members
- Motivated and energetic engineers who are passionate about software modernization
- Must be able to clearly communicate with team members and leadership
- Strong ability to work independently when required
- Turn complex ideas into manageable pieces of work
- Hands-on, Individual contribution and Mentor other developers in team
- Support team members on troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- Key technology skill set – AWS platform and services knowledge including AWS Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and EMR/Hudi, AWS Glue/Athena, Kafka, MongoDB/ DynamoDB/Aurora, Redshift
- Additional technology skill set – CI/CD using Terraform, Python, Spark
- AWS Certification – Architect Associate or Developer or Data Engineer Associate preferred.
- Ability to understand the future Architecture and guide the team with require technical direction
- 8-12 yrs of experience in cloud development, preferably all in AWS
- Develop highly scalable data management interfaces, as well as software components by employing programming languages and tools.
- Design, build, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure which enables functions of the big data platform for Analytics.
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures, such as databases and large-scale processing systems that help analyze and process data.
- Design, document, build, test and deploy data pipelines that assemble large complex datasets from various sources and integrate them into a unified view.
- Identify, design, and implement operational improvements: automating manual processes, data quality checks, error handling and recovery, re-designing infrastructure as needed.
